ALIGN PAGES, SKIP TEXT, REMOVE BLANK PAGES AND BACKGROUNDS. THE POSSIBILITIES OF OUR OCR API
In our last blog post we talked about the role of the size of a document, and how it is transformed on different servers. Today I’m going to show you what happens to your document as it is processed.
Whether it’s invoices, delivery notes, work papers or documentation – our OCR engine converts all your documents into a consistent format and processes them according to your requirements. But according to which upload parameters does this actually happen?
The initial situation
Not every document you want to have scanned in is in ideal condition. The alignment of the pages is completely out of order, there are blank pages in the document that have to be sorted out manually, as well as unimportant text passages that you don’t actually need. Our aim is to get the most out of our OCR-API for you. This means that the functions and parameters of our engine must be one thing above all: Practical.
Our parameters
The function is very simple: With a simple true/false assignment you activate the desired parameters for the upload of your documents. Removing backgrounds, changing the page orientation, removing empty pages or skipping text passages is thus automatically carried out in the background. In our API it looks like this:
As a result, you get a document that has been converted exactly as you want it. Give it a try – our OCR-API will surely convince you! You can also test our online version of the server here.
In our next article, things get dirty. What to do about soil on my documents? Read HERE how we solve this problem for you too.
